Faculty, administrators and staff at Park Avenue Elementary have been spending the month of April “Lighting It Up Blue” for autism awareness.

Wearing trademark blue shirts, the staff at PAMES kicked off World Autism Awareness Day, which was April 2, and continued the show of solidarity every Friday throughout the month.

The Light It Up Blue campaign was created by Autism Speaks, the leading global nonprofit organization that advocates for research into the causes, prevention, treatments and cure for autism.
