Students at Edmund W. Miles Middle School recently took part in the Earth Day Challenge, coordinated by school librarian Lynn Cesiro. The students were tasked with constructing a tower entirely out of recycled materials without using any adhesive.

During their lunch periods, students visited the library, where they were given a hole puncher, scissors, biodegradable Popsicle sticks, six large paper towel tubes, six small tubes and 10 cardboard panels to complete the challenge.
