Pre-kindergartners at Northeast Elementary School in Amityville recently learned all about agriculture during their field trips to the Suffolk County Farm and Education Center in Yaphank.

The 220-acre working farm offers fun, hands-on educational programs about Long Island’s agricultural heritage while showcasing present day agriculture. Classes got to learn about the basics of agriculture, life skills, animal sciences and environmental sciences.
