On April 26, Nancy Brennan, a staff developer from Teachers College at Columbia University, worked with teachers and pre-kindergarten students at Northeast Elementary School in Amityville.

Ms. Brennan helped to guide students as they begin to read decodable books and use the sounds they know to read words.
