Second graders at Northwest Elementary School in Amityville recently completed a unit on the life cycle of chicks and duck eggs.

Students learned about their life cycles by incubating the eggs in the classrooms. Northwest received the chicks and duck eggs from a local farm and watched them develop and hatch over time.
