The Amityville School District is aware of the updated guidance released by the New York State Education Department on May 18 regarding the ban on Native American mascots, names and logos. This will be a topic of discussion at the next Board of Education regular business meeting on Wednesday, June 7 at 7:30 p.m. As always, the community is welcome and encouraged to participate.
