On May 30, Amityville Memorial High School’s AP Research scholars held presentations during their inaugural AP Capstone Fair.
Held in the high school’s cafeteria, scholars shared the results of their year-long independent investigations with their teachers and the school’s principals. Additionally, AP Seminar students attended the fair to observe and engage with the presentations as part of their continued learning in the AP Capstone program.
AP Capstone is a College Board program focused on developing students’ skills in research, analysis, evidence-based arguments, collaboration, writing and presenting. It includes two courses: AP Seminar, where students explore real-world topics through various lenses, and AP Research, where students design, execute, and present a year-long research project.
